Peter Crouch is real danger

PETER CROUCH is convinced that Spurs can spring a Champions League surprise when they come up against Real Madrid tomorrow night.
Spurs fly to Spain today ahead of a quarter-final, first-leg tie in which they are underdogs at the Bernabeu Stadium.
But striker Peter Crouch said: “We’ve proved this year against top teams like Inter Milan and AC Milan that we’ve been able to go to these places and get results. Hopefully we can do that in Madrid.
“We know Real will be favourites, but we’ve done very well in the Champions League and hopefully we can continue that.”
The beanpole hitman is looking forward to once again locking horns with Real centre-back Ricardo Carvalho.
Former Chelsea star Carvalho turned up the heat on Crouch by suggesting the England man is easy to handle.
But Crouch said: “We’ll see about that. I have a lot of respect for Carvalho.
“He’s a tough defender, of course. I’m looking forward to it and hopefully I will get the better of him.
“I’ve had some good battles with him. I’ve got the better of him. I remember in a couple of semi-finals with Liverpool, one in the Champions League and one in the FA Cup, when we beat Chelsea.
“We are looking forward to going to the Bernabeu and getting a result.”
