Queen of the South secured their second win over rock-bottom Stirling in four days after emerging 2-0 victors at the Doubletree Dunblane Stadium
The South, who won 4-1 at home to Albion on Saturday, went ahead after four minutes, Daniel Orsi netting his first senior goal from 18 yards.
Orsi's joy was shortlived, however, as he was forced off injured 19 minutes in. But his loss did not stop the away side's progress as David Lilley made it 2-0 in first-half injury-time, converting from close range.
The best chance of an uneventful second half fell to Stirling's Gordon Smith, who had headed straight at away keeper Rod McKenzie in the first half, but he nodded wide after 79 minutes.
