The Netherlands Coach Bert Van Marwijk Backs Robin Van Persie To Shine

Arsenal attacker Robin van Persie missed The Netherlands' Euro 2012 qualifiers against San Marino, Finland, Moldova and Sweden due to an ankle injury, but the technically gifted forward has returned to the Oranje set-up for Wednesday's international friendly against Turkey.
Van Persie was replaced by Klaas-Jan Huntelaar during his absence and the Schalke striker put in a number of impressive performances. Therefore, head coach Bert van Marwijk is expected to give Huntelaar the nod again up front when the Dutch take on Turkey.
Nevertheless, Van Marwijk has made it clear that Van Persie will get his chance again in the near future.
"Robin van Persie's such an amazing footballer. He hardly needs any space or time to become dangerous. He's shown that again during the training session in the past couple of days," said Van Marwijk in a press conference.
"I had a lot of faith in him during the 2010 World Cup and he won't miss out on a spot in Oranje just like that.
"He can play in several positions. He's played as a right winger, as a forward in a 4-4-2 formation and even as a 'trequartista'. And he's performed at a very high level in all those positions."
