Milan forward Robinho will not start against Genoa on Saturday evening as he is not in peak condition, claims Tuttosport.

There was plenty of expectation when Robinho arrived from Manchester City, but he has been used sparingly by coach Massimiliano Allegri, who has largely resisted calling him.

Alexandre Pato's injury seemed to allow Robinho hope of regular action, but Allegri doesn't feel he is ready in terms of fitness. There is still work to be done before he can be considered to start from the outset.

And the coach is aware he needs to win against Genoa with Inter five points clear. The Rossoneri cannot afford mistakes, suggesting the Brazilian whiz will start on the bench.

Milan clash with Genoa, Ajax and Parma within the next seven days. But there are conflicting messages over Robinho. Il Corriere dello Sport are claiming he could indeed play.

They report Clarence Seedorf and Andrea Pirlo may be rested, allowing Robinho a chance to play.

He is the only real alternative to Pato, but the Rome-based paper are also concerned with his condition.
