Queen of the South boss Kenny Brannigan is hoping defender David Lilley and winger Allan Johnston come through latefitness tests to be included in his squad for the visit of Raith Rovers.
Winger Willie McLaren is missing through suspension and midfielder Darren Young is doubtful after complaining of feeling unwell.
Brannigan said: "It would be great to David and Allan's experience on the pitch against a Raith Rovers side that will be flying after winning so well last Saturday.
"They are a well-organised team but we will be going all out to take something from this game."
Rovers will be missing captain Iain Davidson through suspension and injured defender Mark Campbell.
Boss John McGlynn travels to Palmerston Park with his feet planted firmly on the ground despite his side's 4-0 win over Partick Thistle last weekend.
McGlynn said: "I am not getting carried away with anything, it was a great result but it is in the past now. We face a difficult game at Dumfries and that is all I am concentrating on just now."
The Kirkcaldy manager spied on his opponents during their win at Dunfermline on Tuesday and was impressed, adding: "They did well and will go into this game boosted by that result."
