In town for the Malaysian Grand Prix - the second round of the 2015 Formula One season - Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg ran to the top of the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Monday.

The German, who finished second to team-mate Lewis Hamilton at the opening round of the season in Australia, climbed 2,170 steps before revelling in the views from one of the rooftops of the iconic buildings, which were the world's tallest until 2004.

SOUNDBITE: (English) Nico Rosberg, Mercedes F1 driver:

"Amazing experience here on top of the Petronas Twin Towers, or one of them at least, and yes, unreal and yes.... please all watch on Sunday (the F1 Malaysian Grand Prix) and cross your fingers for us, to have a great weekend."

Now in his sixth season with Mercedes, Rosberg finished second in last season's Malaysian Grand, again behind team-mate Hamilton.

He also claimed a third place finish at the Sepang International Circuit back in 2010.

Practise for the Malaysian Grand Prix gets underway on Friday 27th March.
