  • Intro:

A first half goal from former Senegal international Henri Camara gave Panetolikos a 1-0 win over Panathinaikos in the Greek Super League on Sunday.

    Script:

Panathinaikos went into the weekend 19 points behind leaders Olympiakos and a match away to Panetolikos was never going to be easy.

The visitors knew they were in difficult game and it showed when Rodrigo Galo forced Panathinaikos' keeper into an impressive save.

Yet the goal came in the 29th minute. Former Wigan man Henri Camara was played through and his quick footwork put Panetolikos one up.

Panathinaikos had little in the way of goal scoring opportunites, but into stoppage time at the end of the game, Panathinaikos forced a Bracalli into a double save.

Panetolikos held on for a 1-0 win and they maintained their unbeaten record at home with a sixth victory in nine games.

The win also sees them move to within six points of Panathinaikos, who now lie 22 points behind their great rivals Olympiakos.
