  • The QPR goalkeeper, Alex McCarthy, lies dejected after failing to stop a shot from Leonardo Ulloa. It wasn’t a good day for QPR as the Foxes won 5-1.
  • Spurs’ Nacer Chadli leaps over the challenge of Everton’s John Stones during Tottenham’s 1-0 win at Goodison, which came courtesy of a 24th minute goal by Harry Kane.
  • Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha slips through the challenges of Swansea’s Jack Cork and Modou Barrow during the Eagles’ 1-0 win. The Palace winner was scored Marouane Chamakh, his first league goal since September, and the victory saw them finish 10th with a record points tally.
  • Fabian Delph of Aston Villa barges in to Burnley’s Ashley Barnes during the visitors’ 1-0 win at Villa Park. An early goal from Danny Ings was enough to give relegated Burnley victory, their third away win of the season and Villa’s eighth home defeat of the campaign.
  • Farewell Frank. After 609 Premier League appearances for West Ham United, Chelsea and Manchester City, Frank Lampard is off to play in the MLS for New York City FC. The midfielder signed off in style with a typical goal, rifling home James Milner’s cut-back from ten yards out to help Man City beat Southampton 2-0.
  • Goodbye Gerrard. After turning out for the 710th time for Liverpool, Steven Gerrard removes the captain’s armband for the last time. Like Lampard, Gerrard is off to MLS but will be on the west coast, turning out for LA Galaxy. Gerrard also scored on his final Premier League game but the result was markedly different with Liverpool tonked 6-1 by Stoke City.
  • Arsenal’s Theo Walcott fires a shot into the top corner to open the scoring at the Emirates where Arsenal played host to West Brom. The Gunners ran out 4-1 winners with Walcott, making his first club start for more than two months, bagging a first half hat-trick.
  • Joy and relief are etched on the faces of the Newcastle bench, including manager John Carver, left, as they celebrate after Jonás Gutiérrez (not pictured) scored the Magpies’ second goal in a 2-0 win over West Ham. The win meant they escaped relegation to the Championship.
  • Newcastle’s win meant that Hull City were relegated. Hull manager Steve Bruce looks dejected during their goalless draw against Manchester United, where Hull had two goals disallowed.
  • It was a sad day for Hull City staff, players and fans.
  • The football writers’ and PFA player of the year Eden Hazard put his dental worries behind him to start the match against Sunderland. This meant that Hazard has played in every one of this season’s Premier League matches for Chelsea.
  • Diego Costa tackles a Sunderland player. Costa’s penalty in the 37th minute put Chelsea back on level pegging after Steven Fletcher’s header threatened to spoil the Champion’s celebrations. Two goals from Lo?c Rémy late in the match ensured a winning end to the season for the José Mourinho’s side.
