A new chapter in Mohamed Salah's career could be about to open, with the Egyptian star edging closer to a summer move to Turkish club Besiktas.

Besiktas have tabled an official offer to sign Salah on a free transfer. The two-year deal would hand him an annual salary estimated at around 15 million euros.

Amr El-Rawi, a marketing consultant in the English league, addressed the move on the "Al-Nahar" channel and explained why Salah is leaning towards it. 

El-Rawi said: "Mohamed Salah wants to conclude his journey in a refined and satisfying manner, especially as he no longer needs to offer any further proof to anyone." 

He added: "Salah has rejected the idea of moving to any other club in the English Premier League, out of his keenness to preserve his great legacy in England and his good relationship with Liverpool's fans." 

Rounding off his comments, El-Rawi said: "Mohamed Salah has ruled out the option of the Saudi league because he is intent on continuing in Europe, which has made Besiktas the ideal destination for him."
