7M - Vinicius Contract Demands Stall Real Madrid Extension Talks
Posted Sunday, July 26, 2026 by 7M Sport

Negotiations regarding Vinicius Junior's contract extension with Real Madrid have stalled due to significant financial gaps between both parties. According to reports from Spanish newspaper Sport, the Brazilian winger's agency, Roc Nation, is requesting a €15 million loyalty bonus for fulfilling a new deal, alongside a salary matching Kylian Mbappe's reported €30 million annual earnings. However, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez remains firm on protecting the club's wage structure, deeming these demands excessive. If no resolution is reached, Real Madrid may eventually evaluate incoming offers rather than letting the dispute drag on.
The ongoing contract stalemate has put several top European clubs on high alert, most notably Arsenal. As reported by The Athletic, manager Mikel Arteta's side is closely monitoring the situation and could be prepared to submit a historic bid of approximately €160 million if talks collapse completely. While Real Madrid still considers Vinicius Junior a key pillar of Jose Mourinho's squad alongside Mbappe, Jude Bellingham, and Federico Valverde, no formal club-to-club negotiations have taken place, leaving any potential blockbuster move pending the outcome of Madrid's internal discussions.
