7M - Man Utd consider £35m move for Tyler Adams as Bournemouth refuse to sell Alex Scott

Manchester United are weighing up a move for Bournemouth's Tyler Adams.

Michael Carrick and Co have made this a statement window so far, with a particularly close focus on rebuilding their midfield.

They have already got deals over the line for Aston Villa star Youri Tielemans and Chelsea's Andrey Santos, paying in the region of £80million for the pair. But with Manuel Ugarte sidelined for most of the season and Casemiro gone following the expiry of his contract, the Red Devils appear open to even more business in the centre of the park.

The Mail report that the club are looking at Cherries midfielder Adams to bolster their options. Adams would provide more cover in front of the back line as a more defensively-minded profile than their previous arrivals.

The American is said to be valued at around £35m, potentially taking the side's midfield spending alone over the £100m mark this window. But Adams would still be considerably cheaper than other targets like his team-mate Alex Scott or Roma star Manu Kone.

New Bournemouth boss Marco Rose has been steadfast in saying that Scott is not for sale this window, and it would take a huge fee to change his mind. With the former Bristol City man said to prefer a move to Chelsea, attentions have now seemingly turned to his partner at the Vitality Stadium.
