Transfer News UPDATES: Lacroix medical updates, three Spanish sides chase Rodri, Blues face competition for Scott

Chelsea are closing in on the £52million signing of Maxence Lacroix, who is set to complete his medical today.

In other news, World Cup Golden Ball winner Rodri could be on the move this summer as three Spanish giants, including Real Madrid, chase his signature.

Elsewhere, Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea are all looking at signing Alex Scott this summer, with the Bournemouth star refusing to sign a new contract at the Cherries.

United eye Tyler Adams

Manchester United are weighing up a move for Bournemouth star Tyler Adams. According to The Mail, United are looking at Adams to bolster their options in defensive midfield after Casemiro's exit and Manuel Ugarte's injury.

The USA international is said to be valued at around £35million, potentially taking the side's midfield spending alone over the £100m mark this window. But the 27-year-old would still be considerably cheaper than other targets like his team-mate Alex Scott or Roma star Manu Kone.

Rafael Leao boost

Manchester United and Tottenham target Rafael Leao has reportedly told AC Milan he wants to leave this summer. Leao has attracted interest from all over Europe and plans to move on.

According to BeIN Sports, the winger has held talks with Milan about an exit but is still unsure where his future lies. Despite having two years left on his deal, the Portugal international seems keen to move as soon as possible.

Premier League giants United and Spurs are believed to hold an interest, as well as Galatasaray and Fenerbahce. Milan's failure to qualify for next season's Champions League is said to be a factor in Leao's decision making.

Bradley Barcola twist

Liverpool are confident of beating Arsenal to £100million-rated Paris Saint-Germain star Bradley Barcola. The Gunners are eyeing Barcola after missing out to Chelsea on the signing of Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa.

But SunSport understands the Reds are in the driving seat for the winger, who is also wanted by Bayern Munich. The Merseysiders are on the hunt for a marquee forward signing after the departure of club legend Mohamed Salah.

Liverpool have already missed out on Yan Diomande, who is set to join PSG from RB Leipzig once the German side seal a replacement. Diomande's arrival in Paris means the back-to-back European champions can afford to offload Barcola.

Real working on Rodri deal

Real Madrid continue their bid to sign Manchester City star Rodri. According to The Athletic, Real are working on a deal for the midfielder during the summer window.

The same source claims Madrid are confident an agreement can be reached with City. According to Sky Sports, City still firmly want the Spain international to sign a new contract with his current deal running out in 2027.

Modric to stay in Milan

AC Milan star Luka Modric will continue his career at the San Siro after signing a new contract until 2027. Modric has committed to another season with Milan after another impressive campaign in Italy.

The midfielder, who turns 41 in September, remains one of Europe's most experienced stars and will continue playing at the highest level. The Croatia legend is now preparing for another season in red and black, this time under former Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim, who recently replaced Massimiliano Allegri.

Alex Scott bidding war

Chelsea are "accelerating" their pursuit of Bournemouth star Alex Scott in order to beat competition for his signature. Scott impressed for the Cherries last season and has also gathered interest from Arsenal and Manchester United.

Having already forked out £117million on Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa, the Blues want to make another major signing from a Premier League rival. According to The Standard, the West Londoners are now speeding up talks as they look to secure the midfielder's signature ahead of the pack.

Chelsea are said to have had a £64m bid turned down by Bournemouth, but the England international is believed to be keen on the move. The 22-year-old has two years remaining on his deal at Dean Court, and the Cherries tried to open contract talks in March, although such conversations have so far not been productive. Scott could potentially replace Enzo Fernandez at Chelsea this summer.

Al-Hilal confirm Summerville

Al-Hilal have officially announced the signing of Crysencio Summerville from West Ham. The deal, which sees Summerville swap the Premier League for Saudi Arabia at the age of 24, is worth up to £60million.

According to Sky Sports, the Saudi giants will pay an initial fee of £55m, plus £5m in potential add-ons. The agreement marks the third highest sale in the Hammers' history, following Declan Rice's move to Arsenal and Mateus Fernandes' record exit to Tottenham earlier this summer.

Nunez linked with MLS

Al-Hilal star Darwin Nunez has been linked with a summer move to the MLS. According to talkSPORT, Nunez is in talks over a move to Atlanta United.

The striker endured a very difficult season in Saudi Arabia after his move from Liverpool last year. The Uruguay international was axed from Al-Hilal's registered league squad after the arrivals of Karim Benzema.

Maresca on Grealish

Manchester City manager Enzo Maresca left everything open in terms of Jack Grealish's future after a successful loan stint at Everton ended with a heartbreaking injury.

Hull sign Morita

Hull have announced the signing of Hidemasa Morita on a free transfer. Morita joins the Tigers on a two-year contract, with the option to extend until 2029.

The midfielder left Sporting Lisbon as a free agent last month. The Japan international amassed a total of 11 goals and 16 assists in 166 appearances throughout his four-year stint at Sporting.

Tavernier in MLS talks

Former Rangers captain James Tavernier is in talks to join Charlotte FC. According to Sky Sports, the MLS outfit's manager Dean Smith is very keen to land the right-back.

The 34-year-old is assessing his options after leaving the Scottish giants this summer and is also attracting interest from Ligue 1 and Serie A.

Italy get Guardiola alternative

Andrea Pirlo is set to take over as Italy manager after Pep Guardiola turned the offer down last night. According to Sky Sports, Pirlo is now set to terminate his contract with United FC.

Guardiola was the Azzurri's top choice for the job after Gennaro Gattuso's exit. Carlo Ancelotti was also contacted by Italy's sporting director Paolo Maldini.
