Following the conclusion of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Transfermarkt updated player market values, highlighting a major shift at the top of the football hierarchy. Spain's tournament victory propelled winger Lamine Yamal to a landmark €220 million valuation. Norwegian striker Erling Haaland, who finished among the competition's top scorers, also reached €220 million. Both stars saw a €200 million milestone broken for the first time after receiving a €20 million boost.
Other major post-tournament valuation highlights include:
Kylian Mbappe: The Real Madrid forward scored 10 goals during the World Cup, raising his market value to €200 million.
Michael Olise: The Bayern Munich winger set a new single-tournament record for most assists with France, elevating his value to €170 million as the world's fourth most valuable player.
