7M - Casemiro Joins Inter Miami After Leaving Manchester United

Casemiro has joined Inter Miami on a free transfer following his departure from Manchester United at the conclusion of the 2025-26 season. The initial contract covers the remainder of the 2026 MLS campaign as well as the shortened spring season running from February to May 2027, with club options extending through the 2028-29 season.

During his four-year tenure at Old Trafford, the 34-year-old Brazilian midfielder won the 2022-23 EFL Cup and 2023-24 FA Cup, while making an appearance in the 2025 Europa League final. He comes off his most productive attacking season in England, scoring nine Premier League goals in 2025-26. Most recently, Casemiro started five matches for Brazil during their 2026 World Cup campaign, scoring an equalizer in the round-of-32 victory against Japan before the team was eliminated by Norway.

At Inter Miami, Casemiro reunites with former Clasico rivals Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez. Pending visa processing, he will join a team currently sitting second in the Eastern Conference with 31 points from 15 games, with a potential debut expected around the Leagues Cup in August.
