7M - Da Cunha Extends Como Contract Ahead of Champions League Debut

Lucas Da Cunha has signed a two-year extension with Como, keeping the club captain under contract until 2031 as the Italian side prepares for its Champions League debut.

The 25-year-old midfielder was pivotal in driving Cesc Fabregas' team to a fourth-place finish in Serie A last season—securing European qualification in only their second year back in the top flight following a 21-year absence. Da Cunha made 36 league appearances (31 starts), recording six goals, four assists, and creating 45 chances. He was one of four players on the squad to post double-digit goal involvements in 2025-26, alongside Nico Paz, Tasos Douvikas, and Jesus Rodriguez.

Da Cunha arrived at Como in January 2023 during their Serie B tenure and has since registered 20 goals and 15 assists across 129 matches. His contract extension arrives amid significant transfer activity for Como, including the addition of Alvaro Morata from AC Milan and a 60 million euro permanent deal for Nico Paz from Real Madrid.
