Transfer news UPDATES: Chelsea announce Rogers, Al Hilal agree £60m Summerville deal, Blues have £64m Scott bid rejected

Chelsea have announced the signing of Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa in a deal worth £117million.

Al Hilal have reportedly agreed a deal with West Ham to sign Crysencio Summerville for a package of £60million, hijacking Roma's pursuit of the Dutchman.

Elsewhere, Xabi Alonso and the Blues have had a bid of £64million rejected for Bournemouth's Alex Scott.

Chelsea's done deals

That's four major deals for Chelsea after wrapping up their agreement for Rogers.

Here are all of Chelsea's incoming transfers so far:

Morgan Rogers (Aston Villa) - £117m
Marco Palestra (Atalanta) - £43m
Geovany Quenda (Sporting CP) - £40m
Emmanuel Emegha (Strasbourg) - £22m

Modric signs new AC Milan deal

This man could play into his 50s if he wanted to. According to Sky in Italy, Luka Modric has penned a one-year extension with AC Milan. The Croatian magician will turn 41 in September but he is still going strong after starring for his nation at the World Cup.

Rogers: I can't wait to play with Palmer

Morgan Rogers has a bromance with Cole Palmer and the pair are finally set to be reunited at Stamford Bridge after his move was confirmed. The pair played together in the Manchester City academy and have also featured alongside each other for various England sides.

After putting pen to paper at Chelsea, he said of his friend: "I've known Cole since I was about 14, first in the England [youth] teams and then when we were both at Man City together.

"We've been speaking about this for a while; we always would love to have played together. So, for it to happen, we're both excited.

"He's non-stop ringing my phone, texting me, and I can't wait. I think that's probably the most special thing, playing with one of your best friends and being around him every day. It's something I'm really excited about."

Rogers on Xabi Alonso influence

The new £117m man has been speaking about how the Spaniard influenced his decision to join the Blues. He told the club's website: "I've had a few conversations with him and I think it's important for me to be here that I need to understand what the manager's like, how he is and how he wants to operate.

"It very much fits with the way I see the game, the way I want to play, and the way I want to be me, and be free and express myself. Him being a part of that was a massive factor in me being here."

Gunners surprised by Rogers move

Chelsea's British record deal to sign Morgan Rogers staggered a number of people. Not least Arsenal, who had been pursuing a move for the England man all summer. But it also came as a surprise to a number of financial figures in the industry, who can hardly comprehend how Chelsea have managed to fork out £117million.

Chelsea's record losses of £262.4m, posted in April, had many feeling a scant summer was on the horizon.

Done deal! Chelsea announce Rogers

Chelsea have officially announced Morgan Rogers after agreeing a British transfer record of £117m with Aston Villa. Rogers has called Chelsea "the biggest club in London" and said he "can't wait to get going".

United starlet has EFL interest

Manchester United star Jack Moorhouse is reportedly attracting interest from Reading and Barnsley this summer. According to the Manchester Evening News, the midfielder looks likely to head out on loan again, with Bolton and Stockport also keen. He spent last season with Leyton Orient but struggled for regular game time.

Arsenal sign Upson

The Gunners have sealed the signature of Elijah Upson, the son of ex-England star Matthew, after he left rivals Tottenham. The 18-year-old centre-back has signed professional terms with Arsenal.

Upson said: "It's a great feeling, really proud to be here. [It's] really nice to have all my family and everyone around it, it's been a great experience.

"My dad signed here around the same time as me, it's great to have someone with a good experience of the place. But at the same time, I'm definitely looking forward to building my own reputation and getting started.

"When I met the guys here recently and met all the team and staff, it just seemed like a really nice environment. That was probably the biggest factor, an environment where you feel you can hopefully learn and get better as a person."

Chelsea want Stones

Chelsea are considering a deal to sign England defender John Stones. The veteran defender, 32, is a free agent after leaving Manchester City at the end of his contract this summer. Stones would add significant experience to the Blues squad, something new boss Xabi Alonso is keen to address this summer.
