7M - Klopp Set for Germany Role After World Cup Negotiations

Jurgen Klopp is on the verge of returning to management, confirming that negotiations to become the head coach of Germany are heading in the right direction. The 59-year-old manager is poised to succeed Julian Nagelsmann, whose contract was cut short after Germany suffered a disappointing round-of-32 exit to Paraguay on penalties at the 2026 World Cup.

Klopp, who has been working as Red Bull's Head of Global Football since October 2024 following his departure from Liverpool, stated that his generous arrangement with Red Bull presents no obstacle to the move. He noted that key contract details have already been resolved with the German Football Federation (DFB) and hopes to finalize the agreement within days, as the next international window approaches.

Having previously guided Liverpool to eight major trophies over nine years, a refreshed Klopp is now prepared to revitalize the national team. His upcoming responsibilities will include leading Germany through their 2026-27 Nations League campaign against the Netherlands, Greece, and Serbia, followed by the Euro 2028 qualifiers.
