Uma Jammeh and an England star's brother have been together since 2024.
One England international isn't the only winner in his family—his brother is now engaged to a Love Island star.
Wil Anderson is currently in the United States, supporting his brother Elliot Anderson alongside his fiancée, Uma Jammeh. The Manchester City record signing has been a standout for the Three Lions this summer. Since being handed his debut by manager Thomas Tuchel last September, Elliot has established himself as the driving force in England's midfield.
His brother Wil has also grabbed headlines after his romance with Jammeh blossomed on the hit reality show in 2024. After entering the villa, he quickly formed a connection with the model.
Wil was eliminated on day 37, when Reuben Collins opted to pursue Jammeh instead—but their budding relationship proved resilient enough to overcome that hurdle.
The couple got engaged last year. Wil shared on Instagram: "I liked it, so I put a ring on it," alongside a photo of Uma in a green dress.
He also boxes for the Misfits promotion. Though he lost his debut fight against Jordan Banjo, he bounced back with a knockout victory over Jake Cornish in March.
Taking a break from the ring, Wil and Jammeh have spent the summer in America cheering on Elliot and England as they reached the World Cup semi-finals. However, it has been an emotionally difficult period for the Anderson brothers, who lost their mother, Helen, in April after a short illness.
In a heartfelt Instagram post following her passing, Wil wrote: "Words can't describe this feeling. You didn't deserve this. All I ever wanted was to make you proud. You were my biggest supporter and my strongest motivation.
"You gave everything for our family and we were just ready to return the favour. You fought the toughest fight of them all and not once did it show, bowing out with grace surrounded by your boys.
"You have shown me everything I know. Thank you for everything you have done for this family, none of us would have got this far without you. Keep watching me Mum I have more to show you. Everything is for you. You will live with me forever Mum, I love you."
Jammeh commented on the post, writing: "Rest in peace queen Helen, she is forever next to you holding your hand along the way. I love you so much."
Earlier this month, Manchester City announced they had reached an agreement with Nottingham Forest for Anderson's transfer. The fee is reportedly a record-breaking £116 million, making him the most expensive British player in history.
He has been justifying that price tag with his performances at the World Cup. Speaking after England's 2-1 quarter-final victory over Norway, he admitted the win took everything from the squad.
"It was so tough. So tough," said Anderson. "I was cramping up a few times [in extra time]. But the fighting spirit the lads have is amazing to be part of. The fans should be proud of the amount of fight and determination we showed."
