Model and influencer Yaz Juareguy took to social media to label the England midfielder "useless" in the wake of Wednesday's 2-1 comeback win, posting a photograph that captured the moment Bellingham appeared to clip her husband around the ear.

The incident occurred during the chaotic final stages of the match, after Enzo Fernández had rifled home Argentina's equaliser in the 85th minute. Barco, an unused substitute for the entirety of the semifinal, raced onto the pitch and proceeded to celebrate directly in front of the England players—a decision that has since drawn sharp criticism.
