Inter Milan delay Chalobah move as Chelsea eye Lacroix bid

Inter Milan's pursuit of Trevoh Chalobah and interest in Maxence Lacroix have prompted the Serie A champions to carefully manage their transfer strategy this summer.

The Nerazzurri have temporarily paused their move for the Chelsea defender while prioritising other targets, with Crystal Palace expected to consider a move for Lacroix only after Chalobah's future is resolved.According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter and Como have agreed to avoid competing directly for shared transfer targets in a bid to prevent costly bidding wars.

The understanding followed discussions between Inter president Beppe Marotta and Como representative Mirwan Suwarso earlier this week.

Chalobah remains central to the agreement after Como saw a €25 million bid rejected by Chelsea.

Como have since asked Inter to clarify their intentions, stressing they will not enter an auction for the defender.
