Trabzonspor turn down Fulham's improved bid for Nwaiwu

Trabzonspor have rejected an improved offer from Fulham for Nigeria defender Chibuike Nwaiwu, insisting they will only consider bids between €30 million and €35 million.

According to Turkish outlet Fanatik, the Cottagers’ latest proposal, worth €28 million including add-ons, followed an earlier rejected €20 million bid.

Nwaiwu joined Trabzonspor from Wolfsberger AC in January and quickly became a key player, helping the club finish third in the Super Lig, qualify for the UEFA Europa League and win the Turkish Cup.

The 22-year-old has also attracted interest from West Ham United F.C., SSC Napoli, Bayer 04 Leverkusen and Leeds United F.C.
