Rogers gives honest opinion on 3130M price tag: I'm not sure that I'm worth all of that
Aston Villa star Morgan Rogers has spoken on his 3130M price tag which he feels is far too high.
As per The Telegraph, Villa are refusing to sell Rogers and believe he is worth more than his England team-mate Elliot Anderson, who agreed a move to Manchester City for 3116M.
Arsenal are said to have identified Rogers as one of their top targets for the summer transfer window but Villa refuse to sell for less than their 3130M valuation for the playmaker.
However, as his focus remains on England’s Round of 16 clash with Mexico on Monday morning, Rogers was asked about such a price tag that he believes is skewed.
”I'm not sure that I'm worth all of that!
”Of course it's nice to hear that, but I don't let outside noise dictate me.
“I'm just going to keep focused and keep being the person that got me here and trying to improve. I don't really listen to stuff like that."
Rogers made his first World Cup start for England in the Group L victory against Panama and has won 18 caps for his country.
Last season he led Villa to the Europa League and he may be looking for the next step up in his career. Arsenal have made him their main target this summer but with a 3130M price tag they are very unlikely to make a move.
With 60 goal involvements in 125 games for Villa in all tournaments, Rogers looks like a no brainer signing but his price tag stands as a roadblock to any summer deal.
