Ronaldo De Lima backs Zidane to succeed as France manager

Brazil legend Ronaldo has backed former Real Madrid teammate Zinedine Zidane to succeed Didier Deschamps as France manager after the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Speaking to L'Equipe, the 49-year-old described Zidane as the greatest player and teammate he ever shared a pitch with.

“He has the perfect profile for the job. He has the talent, the experience, the tactical intelligence, and the ideal character,” he said.

“And this isn’t just a hunch; he’s already proven it with his brilliant spell as Real Madrid manager.”
