Gabriel Magalhaes credits Arsenal system after key Brazil assist vs Japan

Gabriel Magalhaes has praised Arsenal’s tactical system after playing a key role in Brazil’s dramatic World Cup round of 32 victory over Japan.

The defender credited his club’s high defensive line and progressive style for giving him the confidence to push forward during the match in Houston.

With Brazil trailing, Gabriel made an important attacking contribution, delivering a precise pass that led to Casemiro’s headed equaliser and helped shift momentum in their favour. He later scored the decisive goal to secure Brazil’s progression to the round of 16.

Speaking via UOL, the centre-back highlighted how Arsenal’s instructions have improved his ability to contribute offensively as well as defensively.

"It is something I work on at Arsenal," he claimed.

Brazil will now prepare for their next challenge in the tournament, where they face the winner of the tie between Ivory Coast and Norway as they continue their quest for World Cup success.
