Incoming Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso has reportedly demanded the club sign PSG midfielder Fabian Ruiz.

The 30-year-old started just 13 of his 20 Ligue 1 appearances last season but played a key role as they won a second consecutive Champions League title.

According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, new Chelsea manager Alonso has demanded the club sign Ruiz as he seeks to build the squad in his image.

It’s widely expected that Chelsea will sign a new first-team midfielder this summer, with the future of Enzo Fernandez up in the air.

The report adds that PSG value Ruiz at around €30 million, but Chelsea will face competition from Italy and Turkey.
