Weghorst reunited with Ten Hag at FC Twente

Ajax have officially announced that Wout Weghorst has left the club upon the expiry of his contract.

The ex-Burnley and Manchester United striker has sealed a two-year move to FC Twente, linking up once again with his former United manager Erik ten Hag, who now serves as the club’s technical director.

Weghorst joined Ajax in the summer of 2024 and is currently a member of the Netherlands national team competing at the 2026 World Cup.

Tuchel: High chance Anderson's Man City move done next week

England national team head coach Thomas Tuchel has commented on Elliot Anderson’s display in the 2-0 friendly victory over Panama last Saturday, as well as the player’s imminent transfer to Manchester City.

“I believe there is a strong probability the transfer will be finalised before the last-32 stage,” he stated.

“He plays with total confidence and complete control on the pitch.

“There are no fitness issues whatsoever. The medical team has given full clearance, and he is completely injury-free.”

Atalanta defender Ben Godfrey has successfully undergone his medical examination with Rangers, ahead of a season-long loan switch to the Scottish club.

The English defender joined the Serie A side from Everton back in 2024.

Since then, he has spent time out on loan at Ipswich Town, Sheffield United and Brondby.

The loan agreement is expected to include a substantial purchase option for Rangers at the end of the season.

The former Leicester City defender stepped into senior management for the first time when he was appointed in November 2025. He successfully secured the club’s League Two status on the final matchday of the season.
