Koeman warns Netherlands over Hakimi threat ahead of Morocco clash
Netherlands head coach Ronald Koeman has identified Paris Saint-Germain right-back Achraf Hakimi as Morocco’s key danger man ahead of their World Cup knockout clash.
The Oranje are preparing for a high-intensity last-16 meeting against the African champions in Monterrey, with a place in the quarter-finals at stake.
The Netherlands secured their spot in the knockout stage with a confident 3-1 win over Tunisia in Kansas City, a match that featured a milestone moment for new Tottenham Hotspur defender Jan Paul van Hecke, who scored his first international goal.
"He is the star man and a very good right-back, so we have to prepare ourselves very well for him," Koeman told NOS.
