Neymar walks away from FC Cincinnati negotiations

Brazilian superstar Neymar has reportedly ended discussions over a potential move to Major League Soccer side FC Cincinnati.

According to The Athletic, talks between the two parties had been ongoing for months, but the MLS club never submitted a formal offer to the 34-year-old forward.

FC Cincinnati Sporting Director Chris Albright and President Jeff Berding reportedly travelled to Brazil in April to meet Neymar and his father.

While the former Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain star was said to be open to a move to Ohio if the financial package was attractive, negotiations failed to advance.

Despite stepping away from talks with Cincinnati, Neymar remains open to a future move to MLS under the right circumstances. His current contract with Santos expires at the end of the year.
