Sweden leave out goalkeeper Nordfeldt vs Japan

Sweden have made three changes to their starting line-up ahead of their final Group F match, needing a point against Japan to guarantee progression to the Round of 32.

Graham Potter demanded improvements in defence from his Sweden side ahead of the Japan clash, but he has kept faith with the same back three and two wing-backs who started the 5-1 loss to the Netherlands.

Instead, the most notable change comes in goal, where Kristoffer Nordfeldt has been dropped in favour of Jacob Widell Zetterstrom. The Derby County goalkeeper will be winning just his fourth senior cap.

The other two changes come in midfield, where Elliot Stroud and goalscorer against the Dutch, Anthony Elanga, come in to replace Benjamin Nygren and Jesper Karlstrom.

For the third match in a row, Potter has a full compliment of 15 substitutes to call off the bench.

Goalkeeper: Jacob Widell Zetterstrom

Defenders: Alexander Bernhardsson, Gustaf Lagerbielke, Isak Hien, Victor Lindelof, Gabriel Gudmundsson

Midfielders: Yasin Ayari, Elliot Stroud, Anthony Elanga

Forwards: Alexander Isak, Viktor Gyokeres

Goalkeeper: Zion Suzuki

Defenders: Ayumu Seko, Ko Itakura, Hiroki Ito
