Done Deal: Strasbourg confirm signing of Diogo Sousa

Diogo Sousa has completed a move to Strasbourg, signing a five-year contract with the Ligue 1 club, the French side confirmed on Wednesday.

The Portuguese U21 international, who came through Vitoria SC’s academy, made his professional debut in September 2025 before becoming an important figure under Gil Lameiras.

He made 28 appearances last season, scoring once and providing one assist, helping his side to safety and a League Cup triumph. The transfer fee is reported to be around €10m.

Strasbourg are currently without a manager following Gary O’Neil’s unexpected departure to Ipswich Town, but the situation has not slowed their summer planning.

A new head coach is expected to be appointed within the next 10 days as preparations continue for the new season.
