Jude Bellingham breaks Wayne Rooney record with latest England milestone
Jude Bellingham has made history, breaking Wayne Rooney's record as the youngest player to reach 50 caps for England.
The 22-year-old has comfortably surpassed the former Man United and England forward Rooney to become his county’s youngest player to reach 50 caps.
Bellingham achieved this feat at the age of 22 years and 359 days, beating Rooney who reached his half-century at 23 years and 159 days.
He earned his 50th cap in England’s World Cup Group L game against Ghana, their second of the tournament.
Bellingham has been a key player for England since breaking into the first team, scoring seven goals in his 50 games, including his strike in the 4-2 win over Croatia in their opener.
