Bayern Munich youngster Lennart Karl has turned to his personal life to cope with the devastation of missing the World Cup. The 18 year old winger, who was selected as one of the youngest players in Germany's 26-man squad, suffered a muscle bundle tear in his left thigh during training, forcing him to watch his country's campaign from a distance.

To distract himself from the injury heartbreak, Karl traveled to Bodrum, Turkey, for a holiday with his girlfriend, 22 year old model and TikTok influencer Zoe Kappele. The teenager posted a rare glimpse of his private life on Instagram Stories, sharing a photo of Kappele dining in a red dress at Sorriso, an Italian restaurant inside the luxury five-star Lujo Hotel. Kappele, who runs her own clothing brand Camogliii, has been supporting the rising star through his recovery.

Before the injury setback, Karl had experienced a meteoric rise under Bayern manager Vincent Kompany, registering nine goals and eight assists in his debut senior season. While Germany has managed well in his absence—securing knockout qualification after beating Curacao 7-1 and Ivory Coast 2-1—Karl is focused on his rehabilitation after Assan Ouedraogo was called up to take his squad place.
