7M - Thibaut Courtois Reaffirms Ultimate Dream To Conclude Football Career At Real Madrid

Thibaut Courtois has reaffirmed his dream of ending his playing career at Real Madrid, while acknowledging that the ultimate decision rests with the club. The 34 year old Belgian goalkeeper, whose current contract runs until June 2027, has spent eight years in the Spanish capital since transferring from Chelsea in 2018.

During his successful tenure under managers like Zinedine Zidane and Carlo Ancelotti, and now Jose Mourinho, Courtois has made 333 appearances and secured 12 major trophies, including three LaLiga titles and two Champions League trophies. He has recorded 129 clean sheets overall, with his 96 LaLiga shutouts ranking fifth among goalkeepers in Europe top five leagues since his debut.

Speaking to reporters, Courtois explained that finishing his career at Madrid in four or five years remains his ultimate dream, noting his childhood passion for the club and his current happiness. However, he emphasized that his future depends entirely on what the club wants, expressing deep respect for management choices.
