Chelsea striker Liam Delap.
Chelsea could sell striker Liam Delap this summer with the former England U21 international not expected to be in Xabi Alonso's plans for 2026/27.
The Blues completed a 330m deal to land Delap following Ipswich Town's relegation at the end of the 2024/25 Premier League season.
Despite bagging 12 goals in his debut top-flight campaign with the Tractor Boys, he struggled to replicate that form at Stamford Bridge, under either Enzo Maresca or Liam Rosenior.
Just one EPL goal tells the story of a poor year for the all-action 23-year-old with Chelsea now reportedly open to a sale if an acceptable deal can be reached.
His form has not put off potential suitors with Newcastle United and Everton both on his trail - but Chelsea want to bring in a 340m fee as per Mail Sport - with Delap under contract at Chelsea until 2030.
With Joao Pedro impressing and Nicolas Jackson set to be given a second chance by Alonso, Delap's path to the starting XI looks blocked from all sides, and he could request a move away.
Newcastle and Everton are not in a position to offer European football to Delap next season after they both finished in the bottom half of the table in 2025/26 - but Eddie Howe and David Moyes are both on the hunt for a No.9.
Nick Woltemade and Yoane Wissa both struggled for consistency in their own first year on Tyneside and Moyes is looking to ease the goal burden on Beto in the months ahead.
