Lucas Bergvall hands Tottenham transfer exit request

Lucas Bergvall has reportedly told Tottenham Hotspur he wants to leave the club this summer after becoming frustrated with his lack of opportunities under Roberto De Zerbi.

The Sweden international remains under contract until 2031 but believes his future lies away from north London.

Several Premier League and European clubs are monitoring the 20-year-old’s situation, with Tottenham having previously rejected interest from Chelsea and Aston Villa.

Bergvall initially flourished following his arrival from Djurgarden in 2024, playing a key role in Spurs’ Europa League triumph in 2025 and later being named the club’s Player of the Year.

However, a series of managerial changes has disrupted his progress. Having often been deployed out of position and struggled for regular minutes under De Zerbi, Bergvall is now reportedly seeking a fresh challenge elsewhere.
