7M - Ederson Confirms Manchester United Transfer Is Nearly Finalized

Atalanta midfielder Ederson has confirmed that his anticipated transfer to Manchester United is near completion. The Brazilian international shared the update following Brazil's 3-0 World Cup victory against Haiti at Philadelphia Stadium, where he entered the match as a substitute for Bruno Guimaraes.

The 2023-24 Europa League winner was initially expected to complete his move to Old Trafford earlier in June. However, his transfer was paused after he received a late call-up to the national squad to replace the injured Flamengo player, Wesley.

Reports indicate that Atalanta accepted a 40.5 million Euro fee, with an additional 4.5 million Euro in potential add-ons. The midfielder has reportedly agreed to a four-year contract with Michael Carrick's team, with an option to extend. This signing aims to reinforce the squad's midfield following the departure of Casemiro.
