Victor Osimhen is "the dream target" for Man Utd this summer despite his huge valuation

Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen is seen as the main target for Manchester United this summer.

The Red Devils finished third last term to secure a return to the Champions League, allowing the club to attract world class talent in the summer transfer window.

A good summer haul could see the 20-time English champions in the picture for a title challenge in the new campaign where they will compete with the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City.

As summer rumours heat up, Caught Offisde report that Osimhen “is viewed as the dream target” for manager Michael Carrick who is keen on bringing in the pacey over the coming months.

Osimhen has bagged 54 goals and 13 assists from 69 appearances in Super Lig, Champions League and Europa League across a two-year period.

The striker has been linked with a move to the Premier League for a number of years, coming close to signing for Chelsea before the move collapsed.

As it stands, Marcus Rashford is not joining Barcelona after his successful loan move. This, as well as his high price tag, may cause trouble for Osimhen as if he stays and thrives under Carrick, there would be no room for the Nigerian in the squad.

Caught Offside also report that United are looking at Crystal Palace striker Jean-Philippe Mateta and Bournemouth’s Eli Junior Kroupi due to their Premier League experience which would be useful next season.

Dusan Vlahovic and Robert Lewandowski, who are both available for free this summer, are also on their radar as Carrick weighs up his options.
