Mbappe reacts to critics after France beat Senegal, says he’d play until 80
Kylian Mbappe has sent a defiant message saying he would play until 80 as he brushed off criticism following France’s 3-1 win over Senegal.
The Real Madrid striker starred in the second half with a brace, leading Les Bleus to victory and becoming the nation’s all-time top scorer, surpassing Olivier Giroud’s record.
He was asked whether his performance was a response to criticism or an attempt to silence his doubters. He rejected that idea, insisting his focus remains on helping France succeed rather than reacting to outside noise.
“I’m not playing for revenge,” Mbappe said.
“If I wanted to silence all the critics, I have to play until I’m 80 years old.
“I’m only focused on doing my best for my country. That’s it. Full focus on that.”
