7M - Pedro Porro Signs New Long-Term Tottenham Contract

Pedro Porro has committed his long-term future to Tottenham Hotspur by signing a new five-year contract. The fresh agreement keeps the Spanish right-back in north London until June 2031 and includes a club option for an additional year. Despite reported transfer interest from major European teams, including Premier League rivals Manchester City, the 26-year-old has firmly silenced speculation regarding a summer departure.
Since arriving from Sporting CP in January 2023 for a 40 million transfer fee, Porro has developed into a vital element of the squad, racking up 152 appearances in all competitions. He played an essential role during the 2025-26 campaign, making 47 appearances, more than any other player at the club, to help secure top-flight safety under head coach Roberto De Zerbi. Over the course of that grueling season, he topped the team charts with 71 chances created and 48 interceptions while also chipping in with five assists.
Head coach Roberto De Zerbi expressed his immense satisfaction with the extension, praising both the defender's technical capabilities and his tireless work ethic. The Italian manager highlighted Porro's tactical intelligence, intensity, and personality as traits that elevate the entire group. With the contract extension completed, Porro, who previously lifted the Europa League with Spurs during the 2024-25 season, remains a central figure as the club looks to bounce back from consecutive 17th-place domestic finishes.
