Man United manager Michael Carrick has reportedly left the door ajar for Marcus Rashford to return to the club.

The 28-year-old spent 2025-26 on loan at Barcelona, and managed to rediscover some form, scoring 14 goals and providing 11 assists in his 49 games.

Unfortunately for him, Barcelona decided against activating the 326 million, instead opting to sign Anthony Gordon from Newcastle to fill their left-wing position.

Rashford’s future remains very much up in the air, but Carrick has left the door open to a potential Man United stay, according to The Sun.

Rashford is still under contract at Man United until the summer of 2028, although it’s understood the club wouldn’t be against getting his high wages off their books.

Chelsea have recently been linked with a move for the England international.
