Arsenal step up pursuit of Lille sensation Ayyoub Bouaddi

Arsenal are reportedly stepping up their pursuit of Lille wonderkid Ayyoub Bouaddi amid interest from several top European clubs.

The 18-year-old is one of Europe’s top young midfielders, playing a key role for Lille since breaking into the first team back in 2023-24.

Bouaddi is also expected to have a breakout World Cup campaign with Morocco, having switched allegiances from France, the country he represented at youth level.

According to journalist Sacha Tavolieri, Arsenal are hoping to beat several top European clubs to his signature and are stepping up their efforts.

Arsenal have a long-standing interest in Bouaddi, who has also been linked with Premier League rivals Chelsea and French giants PSG.

Lille’s asking price is set at €70 million, and they would much rather sell to an English side rather than a domestic rival.
