Real Madrid superstar Kylian Mbappe was full of praise for new signing Ibrahima Konate.

Konate, 27, was unable to reach an agreement with Liverpool before his contract expired and has now secured a move to Real Madrid.

Mbappe clearly approves of the move to sign France teammate Konate, lauding him ahead of their World Cup opener against Senegal on Tuesday (June 16.

“Konate is a very aggressive defender, in the best sense. Never a bad move, he’s tough in his marking, he wants his opponent to feel like they’re going to have a rough night,” he said.

“I love defenders like him on my team.”
