Everton left-back Vitalii Mykolenko has signed a new three-year contract, securing his future at Goodison Park until June 2029. The 27-year-old Ukraine international was originally entering the final months of his previous deal this summer, though the club held a unilateral option for a one-year extension. Instead, Everton executives chose to completely tear up those terms in favor of a fresh, long-term agreement.
Since arriving from Dynamo Kyiv in January 2022, Mykolenko has established himself as an indispensable figure in the Toffees' defensive line, racking up 157 first-team appearances across all competitions. Under manager David Moyes, the defender enjoyed an incredibly reliable 2025-26 campaign, starting all 33 of his Premier League appearances as Everton comfortably consolidated a 13th-place finish.
Expressing his pride after puting pen to paper, Mykolenko reflected on his journey from the early relegation scraps to the current stability under Moyes, citing the welcoming culture initiated by club captain Seamus Coleman as a major catalyst for his long-term stay. With his immediate future firmly ironed out, the full-back noted that his realistic targets now shift toward pushing the club back into European contention over the coming seasons.
