Crystal Palace make move for Hayden Hackney as race for in-demand star heats up

Crystal Palace are reportedly readying an offer for in-demand Middlesbrough star Hayden Hackney.

The 23-year-old is expected to leave boyhood club Middlesbrough following their defeat to Hull in the Championship play-off final.

According to the Daily Mail, Crystal Palace are the latest club to join the race to sign Hackney and are readying an offer.

It’s understood the South London club’s first offer will be around 320 million, just below Middlesbrough’s asking price of 325m.

Palace face some tough competition for Hackney’s signature, with Everton and Hull both keen on signing him.

Hackney has just one year remaining on his deal at the Riverside.
