Bournemouth has confirmed the summer departure of defender Kelci Bowers after two full seasons and 70 appearances for the club. The 22-year-old originally moved from Portsmouth on loan during the 2023-24 season before finalizing a permanent switch. Her exit coincides with that of her partner, 29-year-old men's team defender Marcos Senesi, who is also leaving the Vitality Stadium this summer to sign for Tottenham Hotspur.

The simultaneous departures have prompted fan speculation on social media regarding a potential joint move to North London, drawing comparisons to the high-profile dual transfer of Douglas Luiz and Alisha Lehmann to Juventus. However, a move to Spurs appears less probable for Bowers because Bournemouth Women compete in the third tier, whereas the Tottenham women's team recently finished fifth in the Women's Super League. Expressing her gratitude via Instagram, Bowers thanked her teammates and supporters while acknowledging that meeting her partner was a highlight of her time at the club.
