Man City's Rodri REFUSES to deny Real Madrid agreement after Riquelme claim

Man City midfielder Rodri refused to confirm or deny that he has an agreement with Real Madrid following presidential candidate Enrique Riquelme.

Riquelme, 37, is hoping to replace incumbent president Florentino Perez at Real Madrid with elections taking hold on June 7 (Sunday).

Speaking on Spanish TV on Wednesday, he claimed to have agreements to bring Man City duo Rodri and Erling Haaland to the club this summer.

Haaland’s father and agent have since dismissed the claims, calling them “very entertaining”, Rodri, however, was a little more open.

Speaking ahead of Spain’s pre-World Cup friendly against Iraq, Rodri said: “I'm here to speak about the World Cup.

“Everything related to my future, will have to wait until after the World Cup.”
