Mourinho demands Real Madrid sign Arsenal defender he sold while at Roma

Jose Mourinho has reportedly told Real Madrid to make a move for Arsenal defender Riccardo Calafiori, a player he sold while in charge at Roma.

A devastating knee injury cut the now 24-year-old’s Roma career short with Mourinho selling him to Basel back in 2022.

Calafiori has since established himself as a top Premier League defender, helping Arsenal to their first title in 22-years.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Mourinho is hoping to right past wrongs and has asked Real Madrid to make a move for the Italian.

Prying him away from North London may be tricky, however, it’s understood that Calafiori is a popular member of the squad and is happy.

Its widely expected that Mourinho will make his Real Madrid return this summer, although it’s dependant on whether Florentino Perez will win their upcoming elections.
