Real Madrid presidential candidate Riquelme makes sensational Rodri claim

Real Madrid presidential candidate Enrique Riquelme has sensationally claimed that he will sign Man City's Rodri should he win the upcoming election.

Riquelme has emerged as a surprise contender to take over from incumbent president Florentino Perez in Sunday’s elections (June 7).

The 37-year-old has made several promises should he win and has now stated that he can “guarantee I will do everything” to sign Man City’s Rodri.

Speaking on El Hormiguero he said: “If I win the elections, Rodri will become Real Madrid player. I can guarantee I will do everything for it”.

He also said that should he win, Jose Mourinho will now be their manager, adding: “If I win the elections, I will bring to Real Madrid a superstar manager. The biggest manager you can imagine”.

“Jos9 Mourinho is not our manager. We will get the one all Real Madrid fans really want”.
