Rashford told to "stop being obsessed with money" as he aims to make Barcelona move happen

Former Chelsea star Pat Nevin has given advice to Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford as he prepares to make Barcelona move.

Rashford, who reportedly earns 3325,000-a-week, has been on loan at Barcelona this season where the England international clinched a La Liga title.

United have been adamant they want 326M from Barcelona to draw Rashford away this summer but despite bagging 14 goals and 14 assists at the Nou Camp this season, the Spanish giants are reluctant to pay.

Rashford has been left in a state of limbo and is facing the prospect of being forced to return to the Red Devils this summer, a move neither party wants.

Now, handing advice to the forward, Nevin suggested that Rashford put aside his wages to make the move happen.

"If I was advising Marcus Rashford I'd tell him to stop being obsessed with money and cut a deal to stay at Manchester United because that's where he belongs," Nevin told Grosvenor Casinos. "I don't know if Barca can really keep on paying all the money. Real Madrid can. Nobody else can really pay a staggering amount for a player who has got a checkered background.

"Remember the sums he's on at Manchester United is staggering. So, there is a limited amount of teams that will buy. Someone like Chelsea wouldn't buy him because they buy younger players and it's all about sales there. So, you're kind of limiting the teams you can go to.

"So, for Marcus, if he can blank agents and sit in a darkened room then turn on the light and look in the mirror and say: 'How do I want to be looked back on in 20 or 30 years' time? Do I want to look back at that bank account there, thinking that's got another zero in it. Or do I just want to make sure I enjoyed it.'"

Barcelona have until June 15 to sign Rashford on a permanent basis for 326M as the clicks ticks ahead of the World Cup this summer where he has already jetted off to North America.
