Man Utd goalkeeper Senne Lammens named Premier League Transfer of the Season

Senne Lammens has been named Premier League Transfer of the Season after joining Manchester United last year.

The 23-year-old moved to Old Trafford from Royal Antwerp last summer at a time when United where stuck with Andre Onana between the sticks, a goalkeeper they quickly sent out on loan to Trabzonspor.

Lammens was brought in to compete with Altay Bayındır for the NO.1 spot but proved to be a real talent that could not be replaced, especially when manager Michael Carrick took over from Ruben Amorim.

Now, the Premier League have announced that the Belgium international has been named as the Transfer of the Season as he beat out the likes of Viktor Gyokeres, Rayan Cherki, Antoine Semenyo, Joao Pedro, Granit Xhaka, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Adrien Truffert to claim the award.

"He was calm and composed in a rollercoaster campaign in which the Red Devils changed manager mid-season and then produced a breathtaking turnaround of form to secure UEFA Champions League football in 2026/27.

"Lammens was undefeated in 28 of his 32 appearances for United (W18 D10 L4), producing 79 saves and keeping eight clean sheets across the campaign.

"A standout moment for the 23-year-old came in United's 2-0 derby win against rivals Manchester City, an experience he described as "one of the best, if not the best game I've been part of, just in every facet"."

Despite going trophyless this season, Lammens' teammate Bruno Fernandes was recently named Player of the Season in what was an incredible season half of the season for the Red Devils.
